Taller Creativo Irekani

Morelia, Mexico

Alisa teaches Expressive Arts and Visual Arts to the kids at Hogar Irekani orphanage in Morelia, Mexico over Zoom. This project began during Covid and has grown. In February 2022, Alisa and her family will be visiting their friends at the orphanage and will be setting up a more permanent studio and program called Taller Creativo Irekani, which roughly translates as The Creative Living Workshop.

The Advisory Board for Taller Creativo Irekani has recently formed and will providing the program with funds and an expansion of ideas in order to grow into a full-fledged intermodal arts program that brings in teachers from many backgrounds.
